I do not use the word amazing lightly.  Although I am up to my neck (literally) in real estate books (my exam is today – wish me luck!) I had to take a few minutes to let you know about this secret Kate Spade sale with items up to 75% off! Um, take a look at this absolutely gorgeous laptop case called the Wellesley Tanner for only $149!!!

Have a great day bargain hunters and I’ll see you back here tomorrow.

Coldwater Creek – take an extra 50% off everything in the outlet!

Posted on

I just love it when I hear “take an extra something 50% off everything in clearance”.  That is when you really get some bargains.  Coldwater Creek has this going on right now! On top of that, you can take $25 off a $100 purchase plus get free shipping using the code GROUNDHOG.  This is a great sale! I’ll give you a peek into my shopping cart.  I am definitely getting this Tribal Print Tank. It is only $9.99 when you put it in your cart and it will be perfect for summer.

I am also considering this Solid faille jacket. Since I plan on being a top producing real estate agent (!) I will need to look professional even in the summer, and this seems like a jacket I could match with anything. Only $19.99!

It’s Friday!! I hope you have a fun weekend planned.  I will be studying for my exams, but I think I might take a break to go out to eat on Saturday night and I will enjoy sitting on the couch on Sunday watching the Super Bowl while I study. I always get sad when football season ends. But every year, it’s back before I know it.

Enjoy your weekend bargain hunters!

Nautica Clearance

Posted on

I think this morning marks the first time I have ever been on Nautica’s site. That is kind of unbelievable, but I cannot ever remember being on it!  Someone mentioned to me that they ordered some great stuff on clearance so I checked it out. I’m glad I did!  They have some great stuff here.  Like this adorable Mitered Contour Skirtonly $19.99! I think I need that for summer. Perfect for just throwing on and going out.

Or this very cute Tie Tank. Only $19.99. Makes you wish for summer, doesn’t it?  Orders over $50 ship free with code FS50.

I am scheduling my real estate salesperson exams this morning. I am hoping to sit for them on Tuesday.  Very nerve wracking! I have to get studying, bargain hunters.  Hang in there – it’s almost Friday!

Dick’s Sporting Goods extra 50% off clearance!

Posted on

Good morning all! I’m hoping I feel a little better today than I did yesterday. I ended up taking a nap in the afternoon and going to bed early because I was so tired. I’m thinking my body is fighting off something.  I also have a new client that I haven’t even officially started working for yet, but he is driving me crazy already.  In my diminished state yesterday I considered cutting this one loose, but I can’t grow a business doing that, can I.  It turns out when you Google “dealing with a difficult client” I have a lot of company!

One thing that helps me deal with stress is running.  I started over a year and a half ago with the Couch to 5k program.  It took me a year on and off to get to the point where I could run that 5k.  Since August I have been slowly increasing my stride and my ability to, um, breathe. It has changed my life in two major ways; 1. I no longer drink alcohol (actually I’m repelled by it now which is just bizarre since I used to adore it) and 2. I can eat pretty much whatever I want and maintain my weight. (This could have something to do with #1 above.) It has also changed my life in ways that is hard to quantify in a few sentences. Plus I love shopping for running clothes! So you can imagine how happy I was to see that Dick’s Sporting Goods is having a great sale – an extra 50% off clearance items! Yay!

With the warmer weather fast approaching I need some tanks, and I love this Reebok Women’s Elevated Print Run Tank Top. Only $14.97 plus take an additional 50% off!

To match is these great pair of Reebok Women’s 2-in-1 Running Shorts. These are great for the more modest runner – they have a built in liner almost like a bike short underneath. Only $14.97 plus take an additional 50% off! This is a great sale – splurge on yourself and plan to get moving soon.

Have a great day bargain hunters!

Red Hanger Clearance at Talbots

Posted on

My parents live several miles from a Talbots Outlet, so whenever I visit them I try to go.  This particular outlet is nothing like the ones in outlet store locations.  It is just amazing.  When I lived in Boston I used to go to the one in Hingham, MA, and I loved that one as well.  Anyway, they have an online outlet which is almost like being there.  (Well, not quite but it will have to do.) Their Red Hanger Clearance has some great stuff, including this Faux Shearling Coat. What a bargain for only $63.99! (Reg $299.99)

I’m also in love with this Cashmere Crewneck Sweater. I looove the color (Riding Red) and I know first hand that Talbot’s cashmere is awesome.  This is a steal for only $39.99!

I hope you all had a good weekend. Mine was good. Saturday night we had my sister in law and brother in law plus kids over for dinner.  Yesterday I visited our new Wegman’s for the first time for a large shopping order.  I have been in the store a few times but always for just a few things.  Yesterday I went armed with the new Wegman’s app, had picked out recipes and had a long list of items to get. Oh. My. God.  There were 1.2 trillion people there.  They were all walking around with a dazed look in their eyes, and every so often I’d hear a pained comment like “Gee, I must be missing what they are giving away for free!”. It was an absolute madhouse. I was in there for almost 3 hours. When I got home and realized that my grocery bill was very low considering the amount of stuff I bought, I understood why people brave the insanity. Next time I’m going as soon as they open, on a weekday!

Have a great Monday bargain hunters!

Refurbished Apple iPads while they last!

Posted on

It is fairly rare that the Apple Store actually has refurbished items in stock.  I happened to wander over there this morning because my son was talking about the iPad Mini and I was curious how much they cost, when I noticed they have a stock of Refurbished iPads. They start at $319! Oh, and they ship free. I did have one until my son confiscated it.  For that short time I really loved it! I’m thinking I might hold out for the Mini, but I wonder how different that would be than having an iPhone? hmmm.

It is Friday and I’m very happy about it. I get up pretty early every morning – 5:30am and I really need a little extra weekend sleep.  I hope you all have a great one bargain hunters!  xo

Not so shabby sale at Shabby Apple

Posted on

Have you heard of Shabby Apple?  If not and you like to to dress in the retro/classic style, I think you’ll enjoy wandering around this site. I would love to wear many of these styles, but I am pretty short so dresses that are not petite tend to make me look like a 90 year old and I cannot sew to save my life. But I do have my eye on a dress that I am thinking about purchasing – this comfy looking DA VINCI dress. It is reasonably priced at $56, but I found the PP version (practically perfect) for only $33! Yay! Plus, they have a site-wide sale going on for an additional 20% off (code: NewYears). This makes me a happy tenter this morning.

I am currently waiting to receive a certification that will allow me to register for the national real estate exam, and I have been kind of bad with keeping up with my studying. I think I need a study schedule, like I had when I was in college.

Bazinga!

Have a great day bargain hunters!

Crate & Barrel Winter Clearance Sale

Posted on

I used to live in Boston, and worked near Faneuil Hall (yes, yes, I know, why did I move? sigh) and one of my favorite things to do at lunch was to wander over to Crate & Barrel in Quincy Market.  It wasn’t so well known back then, but it was generally where you went to get household goods if you lived in the city and worried about paying your rent! I get very nostalgic when I think about the years I lived in Boston – when I miss my “youth”, that is what I miss – Boston in my twenties.  I definitely want both of my children to experience living in a big city; there is nothing like it. Of course, it is never too late, one of the biggest trends in retirement these days is city living!

But back to Crate & Barrel who is having their Winter Clearance Sale right now. It’s a good one and worth checking out. Every year I try to find at least one ornament that I love so that I can open it when we put our Christmas tree up in what will probably seem like a few months.  I love these Set of 3 Metallic Bell Ornaments and I especially love the price – $4.78!

Look at this adorable Tree Planter. I admit I have an obsession with trees and pine cones, but even if you didn’t, isn’t this really cute?  Only $4.98!

There is much much more on the C&B site to consider. Have fun shopping bargain hunters!

JCP amazing bargains

Posted on

I hope you all had a great long weekend. Mine could have been better if my beloved New England Patriots had won the AFC Championship game on Sunday! That was quite depressing, but the most depressing thing of all was the vitriol spewing out of people’s mouths ranging from the sore Baltimore Ravens winners to my “friends” on Facebook, who even though they know how upset I get about it, posted ridiculous, over-the-top, personal attacks on Tom Brady. Apparently, they know him personally, and he has done horrible things to them. That’s the only explanation! Wow. Yesterday was scary to say the least and has me completely evaluating the whole Facebook thing (and humanity in general). Lately when I go on Facebook, it just makes me feel like crap for one reason or another. What good is that? There is some psychological stuff behind the Facebook obsession, and it can’t be good.

So, I was browsing over at JCPenney this morning and, talking about ridiculous, they have some ridiculous prices going on there! This Arizona Puffer Vest comes in a bunch of colors – at only $10 you can stock up – for family, or for extra-early Christmas presents!

No one would ever know that you paid only $4 for this Arizona Chevron Scarf – it is very cute! You just can’t go wrong at this price. I have never seen prices at JCP like this before, and I suppose it is the aftermath of what was a bad year for the retailer.

I was thinking about this Tribal Cutout Belt – thinking that if it were in The Sundance Catalog it would probably cost, like, $5000. What a bargain at JCP today for only $5!

Have a great day bargain hunters. xo

NapaStyle Annual Home Sale

Posted on

Good morning dear bargain hunters!  I am so sorry I have been away for a bit – the real estate class kind of kicked my butt! Not so much that it was hard, but that it was so condensed – a 2 week full time class that covered a ton of material with a test to boot. There was so much information to cram in my brain – and my memory is not what it used to be! In the end it was worth it however; I passed the class test and now I am eligible to sit for the national and state exams.  I hope to do that before the end of January. So far I’ve gotten quite a bit accomplished in 2013!

I watched the first part of the Lance Armstrong interview last night. I wonder if I was the only one who found it/him chilling. It seems to me that he is at least a sociopath, and considering his level of “bullying”, quite possible a psychopath.  At times during the interview if I were Oprah, I would have been scared.  He is one scary man. That said, Lance did that interview for one reason and one reason only; the same reason he lied and bullied for so many years: himself. He’s not making his apologies to people whose lives he destroyed or fessing up because it is the right thing to do.  He’s doing it because he is trying to save his own ass and because he is still trying to “win at all costs”.  He wants to win.  Period.  I never liked Lance and I never found him inspiring, so perhaps these are easy things for me to say.  I feel great empathy for those people who love him, trusted him, and for everyone who ever wore a Livestrong bracelet.  You are all victims.

Well now.  On to the bargains this morning!  Napastyle, one of my very favorite places to shop online, is having their Annual Home Sale. Several years ago, I splurged on this Fair & Square Game Table & Benches. It continues to be my most favorite piece of furniture in the house. Anything I have ordered from NapaStyle I have loved, so as you can imagine I get quite excited at the thought of this sale! If you have been shopping for light fixtures lately you know how expensive they are, especially the gorgeous ones like this Old Tavern Pendant Light. Only $139.99 today!

Ditto for decent switch plates.  If you can even find unique ones, they are expensive. I can tell you, that if you are trying to sell your house, invest in putting in some new switch plates, like these Estancia Leather Switch Plates. It is a great return on your investment, because people really do notice. Plus, it gives the impression that the current owners didn’t skimp on anything else in the house. These are a great buy at $12.99 and $19.99 depending on size.

Enjoy the sale bargain hunters!
