Coldwater Creek – take an extra 50% off everything in the outlet!

Posted on

I just love it when I hear “take an extra something 50% off everything in clearance”.  That is when you really get some bargains.  Coldwater Creek has this going on right now! On top of that, you can take $25 off a $100 purchase plus get free shipping using the code GROUNDHOG.  This is a great sale! I’ll give you a peek into my shopping cart.  I am definitely getting this Tribal Print Tank. It is only $9.99 when you put it in your cart and it will be perfect for summer.

I am also considering this Solid faille jacket. Since I plan on being a top producing real estate agent (!) I will need to look professional even in the summer, and this seems like a jacket I could match with anything. Only $19.99!

It’s Friday!! I hope you have a fun weekend planned.  I will be studying for my exams, but I think I might take a break to go out to eat on Saturday night and I will enjoy sitting on the couch on Sunday watching the Super Bowl while I study. I always get sad when football season ends. But every year, it’s back before I know it.

Enjoy your weekend bargain hunters!

Nautica Clearance

Posted on

I think this morning marks the first time I have ever been on Nautica’s site. That is kind of unbelievable, but I cannot ever remember being on it!  Someone mentioned to me that they ordered some great stuff on clearance so I checked it out. I’m glad I did!  They have some great stuff here.  Like this adorable Mitered Contour Skirtonly $19.99! I think I need that for summer. Perfect for just throwing on and going out.

Or this very cute Tie Tank. Only $19.99. Makes you wish for summer, doesn’t it?  Orders over $50 ship free with code FS50.

I am scheduling my real estate salesperson exams this morning. I am hoping to sit for them on Tuesday.  Very nerve wracking! I have to get studying, bargain hunters.  Hang in there – it’s almost Friday!

Dick’s Sporting Goods extra 50% off clearance!

Posted on

Good morning all! I’m hoping I feel a little better today than I did yesterday. I ended up taking a nap in the afternoon and going to bed early because I was so tired. I’m thinking my body is fighting off something.  I also have a new client that I haven’t even officially started working for yet, but he is driving me crazy already.  In my diminished state yesterday I considered cutting this one loose, but I can’t grow a business doing that, can I.  It turns out when you Google “dealing with a difficult client” I have a lot of company!

One thing that helps me deal with stress is running.  I started over a year and a half ago with the Couch to 5k program.  It took me a year on and off to get to the point where I could run that 5k.  Since August I have been slowly increasing my stride and my ability to, um, breathe. It has changed my life in two major ways; 1. I no longer drink alcohol (actually I’m repelled by it now which is just bizarre since I used to adore it) and 2. I can eat pretty much whatever I want and maintain my weight. (This could have something to do with #1 above.) It has also changed my life in ways that is hard to quantify in a few sentences. Plus I love shopping for running clothes! So you can imagine how happy I was to see that Dick’s Sporting Goods is having a great sale – an extra 50% off clearance items! Yay!

With the warmer weather fast approaching I need some tanks, and I love this Reebok Women’s Elevated Print Run Tank Top. Only $14.97 plus take an additional 50% off!

To match is these great pair of Reebok Women’s 2-in-1 Running Shorts. These are great for the more modest runner – they have a built in liner almost like a bike short underneath. Only $14.97 plus take an additional 50% off! This is a great sale – splurge on yourself and plan to get moving soon.

Have a great day bargain hunters!

Red Hanger Clearance at Talbots

Posted on

My parents live several miles from a Talbots Outlet, so whenever I visit them I try to go.  This particular outlet is nothing like the ones in outlet store locations.  It is just amazing.  When I lived in Boston I used to go to the one in Hingham, MA, and I loved that one as well.  Anyway, they have an online outlet which is almost like being there.  (Well, not quite but it will have to do.) Their Red Hanger Clearance has some great stuff, including this Faux Shearling Coat. What a bargain for only $63.99! (Reg $299.99)

I’m also in love with this Cashmere Crewneck Sweater. I looove the color (Riding Red) and I know first hand that Talbot’s cashmere is awesome.  This is a steal for only $39.99!

I hope you all had a good weekend. Mine was good. Saturday night we had my sister in law and brother in law plus kids over for dinner.  Yesterday I visited our new Wegman’s for the first time for a large shopping order.  I have been in the store a few times but always for just a few things.  Yesterday I went armed with the new Wegman’s app, had picked out recipes and had a long list of items to get. Oh. My. God.  There were 1.2 trillion people there.  They were all walking around with a dazed look in their eyes, and every so often I’d hear a pained comment like “Gee, I must be missing what they are giving away for free!”. It was an absolute madhouse. I was in there for almost 3 hours. When I got home and realized that my grocery bill was very low considering the amount of stuff I bought, I understood why people brave the insanity. Next time I’m going as soon as they open, on a weekday!

Have a great Monday bargain hunters!

Not so shabby sale at Shabby Apple

Posted on

Have you heard of Shabby Apple?  If not and you like to to dress in the retro/classic style, I think you’ll enjoy wandering around this site. I would love to wear many of these styles, but I am pretty short so dresses that are not petite tend to make me look like a 90 year old and I cannot sew to save my life. But I do have my eye on a dress that I am thinking about purchasing – this comfy looking DA VINCI dress. It is reasonably priced at $56, but I found the PP version (practically perfect) for only $33! Yay! Plus, they have a site-wide sale going on for an additional 20% off (code: NewYears). This makes me a happy tenter this morning.

I am currently waiting to receive a certification that will allow me to register for the national real estate exam, and I have been kind of bad with keeping up with my studying. I think I need a study schedule, like I had when I was in college.

Bazinga!

Have a great day bargain hunters!

JCP amazing bargains

Posted on

I hope you all had a great long weekend. Mine could have been better if my beloved New England Patriots had won the AFC Championship game on Sunday! That was quite depressing, but the most depressing thing of all was the vitriol spewing out of people’s mouths ranging from the sore Baltimore Ravens winners to my “friends” on Facebook, who even though they know how upset I get about it, posted ridiculous, over-the-top, personal attacks on Tom Brady. Apparently, they know him personally, and he has done horrible things to them. That’s the only explanation! Wow. Yesterday was scary to say the least and has me completely evaluating the whole Facebook thing (and humanity in general). Lately when I go on Facebook, it just makes me feel like crap for one reason or another. What good is that? There is some psychological stuff behind the Facebook obsession, and it can’t be good.

So, I was browsing over at JCPenney this morning and, talking about ridiculous, they have some ridiculous prices going on there! This Arizona Puffer Vest comes in a bunch of colors – at only $10 you can stock up – for family, or for extra-early Christmas presents!

No one would ever know that you paid only $4 for this Arizona Chevron Scarf – it is very cute! You just can’t go wrong at this price. I have never seen prices at JCP like this before, and I suppose it is the aftermath of what was a bad year for the retailer.

I was thinking about this Tribal Cutout Belt – thinking that if it were in The Sundance Catalog it would probably cost, like, $5000. What a bargain at JCP today for only $5!

Have a great day bargain hunters. xo

JCP bargains are back

Posted on

In an earlier post I wrote about the inexplicable incompetence of JCPenney’s new CEO.  He must have listened to me (:)) because I see the remnants of the old JCP online lately. I have a news flash for him – JCPenney is never going to be a Nordstrom or a Pottery Barn. Their niche, it seems to me, was to be the less-expensive options to that type of retail.  For example, when I see a great dress like this one at Nordstrom and I don’t feel like paying $188 for it, I can go over to JCP and find something similar and pay, oh, $10. Yes, this Robbie Bee Tribal Print V-Neck Maxi Dress is $10. It might not be the same quality as the Nordstrom dress (although sometimes you are surprised) – but throw a cardigan over it and wa-la.

Happy happy Friday bargain hunters!

Is it Friday yet?

Posted on

I haven’t said that in a long time, but I really mean it today!  After getting laid off (sort of) a few years ago, I have been home with the little (but getting bigger) ones and I haven’t looked forward to Friday like this in quite a while.  I really do love my real estate class, but I’m ready for it to end! The nice thing is that I get to wear comfortable clothes and it has forced me to evaluate what is and isn’t comfortable in my closet.  I mean sit-in-a-training-class-all-day comfortable. A few of the pieces I have that are truly comfie are from JJill which has been in the past one of my favorite places to shop.  For some reason, though, I haven’t bought from there in awhile, so this morning I went and checked out their sale items.  I especially love this fringed jacquard cardigan. What could be easier to throw on in the morning and more comfortable and hide several packages of Oreos? Plus, I just really love fringe. What can I say – I should have been an adult in the 60s. :)

Have a great day bargain hunters!

New year new stuff sale at Urban Outfitters

Posted on

I used to think that Urban Outfitters was a place only young adults shopped, until my daughter started dragging me in there with her.  There are some great things in there for all ages, and some great things for all ages in their New You New Stuff Sale! Like this Coincidence & Chance Jane Intarsia Knit Pullover Sweater. This sweater has great reviews and the mustard color is beautiful.  Plus it’s only $29!

I am also loving this Ecote Hooded Locke Coat. If you’ve noticed I’ve been into the aztec/tribal thing lately. I think I must have this considering it regularly sold for $149 and it is now only $39! Oh, and orders over $50 ship free.

Life is just a little crazy this week.  My real estate class is full time, 4 days, and I’m not used to being out of the house all day. I’ll be feeling much better and able to write much more when this class is over next Tuesday!

Have a great day bargain hunters!

Happy 2013

Posted on

Well, it was quite hard to get up this morning. Then I had to wake my children who just had over a week of opening presents and eating cookies, and this morning they were faced with going out in the freezing temperature to catch a school bus. Yuck. Our only ray of hope is that it is Wednesday, and thus a short week. But, we had a wonderful break and I hope you did too!

Yesterday was not a banner day for those vague new year’s resolutions in my head.  I’m always working toward some goal in my life, so generally new year’s resolutions are a bit fruitless for me. But yesterday was my anti-new year’s resolution day! I didn’t do much of anything because I was so tired, ate crappy food, and watched too much television.

It’s a good thing Amazon is having their New Year New You Sale. Sometimes you just need a little something to get inspired, and there are quite a few things in this sale that seem awfully inspiring. Like these Hoodie Sweaters for only $24.95. Don’t you just want to throw one on and take a long walk?

I wish all of you bargain hunters a happy 2013!
